COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM FOR DESIGN (CEED)

The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is an annual joint exam held by all IITs and the Indian Institute of Science for post-graduate studies in technology design. The Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is intended to evaluate a candidate's aptitude for design, which includes visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving abilities. It is specifically used for admission to a variety of design courses in the fields of product design, industrial design, visual communication, animation graphics, vehicle design, and mobility.

IIT Bombay administers CEED. It serves as a prerequisite for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and various other IITs and design schools, as well as PhD programmes at IIITDM Jabalpur. Being accepted into any of these programmes does not guarantee qualification in CEED alone. The final selection and admission process may involve additional exams and/or interviews from the admitting institutes.
