Registration at a Glance
- The CEED 2026 (Common Entrance Examination for Design) conducted by IIT Bombay opens registrations on 1 October 2025.
- The last date to apply without late fee is 31 October 2025.
- With a late fee option, registration may continue till early November 2025.
- The exam is scheduled for 18 January 2026 (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Eligibility Highlights
- Applicants must hold (or be appearing for) a graduate degree, diploma or postgraduate qualification of at least three years after 10+2 level.
- There is no age limit for appearing in CEED 2026.
- The exam is for admission into M.Des programmes (and select PhD) at leading institutes of design.

- Regular fee applies for registrations completed by 31 October 2025; late-fee registration may extend a little.
- Candidates must apply online, upload required documents, and select exam centres during checkout.
Exam Structure & Why You Shouldn’t Miss It
- CEED 2026 comprises two parts:
- Part A: Objective-type questions covering design-aptitude, visualisation, analytical reasoning.
- Part B: Descriptive drawing/design questions; only those shortlisted from Part A are evaluated fully.
- The scorecard of CEED is used by premier institutes (including IITs and design schools) for M.Des admissions — missing the deadline means losing access to this pipeline.
